We were looking forward to our dinner. Unfortunately, as it was our first trip to Montreal and we expected to dine as a family with teens, we were unaware of the differences in licensing requirements between bars and restaraunts. They were unable to seat us for 7:30 dinner reservations because they have a bar license that does not permit minors on premises after 8 pm. Both the hostess and manager were very pleasant in communicating the issue and we understood the importance of upholding their responsibilities, unfortunately they/we missed out on the meal. Only posting so others first time visitors may also be aware and plan an earlier dinner, as the food and beer looked great.

Awesome beers, Great food, good prices. Most meals on lunch menu are perfect size to not want to take a nap in pm. I've enjoyed the experience every time in various contexts. Keep it up!

Second time there, same waitress and she was rude as the first time. She looked upset and answered with bad attitude when someone who doesn't speak French ask for the day special in English. Other guys on the service team were very kind and helpful.

Our waiter could not hear anything we wished to order. It happened with all our orders and through out the evening. In part the music was loud. I also think he just didn't really care or pay attention. It wasn't really that busy. The food was good, but the music far too loud. The waiter also had his supper during our meal, which was fine but no one was told to cover our table, so they had to find him and ask him for the bill and the rest of our order.

It was the starting point for a boys night out on a cold evening (-15C). We each had the onion soup which was slightly spicy and went very well with the I'm Batman beer. We also the duck carpracio and the wild boar bacon bits, which was also excellent. The I'm Batman beer is an 11% dark stout that perhaps could have used a little more caramel flavoring to reduce the alcohol taste and add more complexity (in the Belgian Trappiste style). The restaurant was very lively between 7pm-9:30pm with a mostly business crowd. Not bad for a Wednesday evening, just before Christmas. We left shortly thereafter to continue our boys night out at another brew pub (Le Saint Bock). Highly recommended!

We waited an hour before receiving our food. The waiter was kind enough to comp us our beers, but we would have rathered having our food on time. I wouldn't recommend going during rush times.

Great ambiance on a Thursday night, place was packed until at least 9pm. Food a little pricey considering main dishes don't come with a side, beer was good but a little expensive, I guess it's the price to pay for being in the business part of old Montreal...

It was the first time I came. I simply loved the ambiance, the food and the waitress was really nice. The food is really good and interesting as it is different from what we are used to find in other micros. I will definitely come back soon!

Here you can try hash brown-style potatoes cooked in duck fat with shredded pork, BBQ sauce and maple syrup. Not forgetting the Charlevoix cheese, sour cream and green onions, of course. And the sauce? Beer-based with venison reduction.
