I ordered the cheeseburger. It was inedible because it was so salty. The server handled the situation very well. I then ordered the carrot tortellini. It was not good and I did not finish it. My wife’s mussels were edible but the sauce was very bland. The bread was the best part of the meal though the accompanying green butter (?) had the consistency of margarine and no flavour. We were visiting from out of town but would not return even if we lived here. Given that there was only one other couple in the restaurant I suspect that it won’t be around much longer. This will not be a loss to the city.

The food here is beautifully presented and generally very good. After asking about the spice of the various dishes, the soup my wife had was way too spicy,. We sent it back immediately, but still were charged full price. Tables are very close together.

A very diverse menu full of interesting combination of ingredients. In my opinion the offerings would satisfy most explorative and basic palettes. Our meal was delicious. The service by our waiter, Camile along with his colleagues, was prompt, courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

I had mistakenly made a reservation for Thursday night instead of Saturday night. When we arrived and I realized my mistake the manager, Riadh, made a table for us within minutes. He was so good humored and gracious. The service and the food were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

This quaint restaurants does not disappoint. There is a masterful chef in the kitchen with a staff that ensures perfection. From appetizers to dessert we were treated to food that tasted delicious and was presented with creativity and care. Will always return when we come to Montreal. Bravo!

Great 2nd visit to Monsieur on a return trip to Montreal for the Jazz Festival. It is well located to the venues. Good wine selection and menu options. We had two seafood dishes that were great. Service was attentive and atmosphere trendy.

We dined twice during our visit to Montreal. Loved the food and our server was exceptional. She was very friendly but still professional. When I couldn’t decide on the chocolate or lemon dessert the kitchen created a dessert with both.

Very small restaurant so even if you have reservations you will probably have to wait if it's on a busy night. Food was very good, with a nice selection.

Monsieur is a fabulous restaurant. My friends and I enjoyed our experience there from start to finish. The décor is beautiful, hip, and very inviting. The service was beyond excellent - clearly outstanding. We wanted nor waited for anything and at every encounter, we were met with a warm smile. When our dinner arrived, we all just stared at our plates for a few minutes, taking in the aesthetic of the presentation. Finally, from first bite to last - and believe me, we ate every last bite - the flavors and textures were amazing. I cannot praise Monsieur enough. It is my favorite restaurant in all of Montreal.

Visited for the second time as part of our annual trip. We visited last year for the first time. In the span of one year nothing has changed, thank god. Food was astounding as was the service. Please don’t change a thing. See you again next year :)
