Treat mom to a great dinner in Montreal

Treat mom to a great dinner in Montreal

With two locations in Little Italy and Laval, Bottega is the perfect restaurant to spoil your mom on Mother’s Day. Start with their bacio, little doughy balls that are basically mini calzone but better. Their meatballs and lamb chops are sold individually so that you can make your own platter of appetizers. They’re known for their authentic Neapolitan pizzas, but check out their daily pasta specials – that’s one of their best kept secrets.

Pizza Week: Head to Little Italy for great pies

Serving up delicious pies fresh from its red-tiled, wood-fired pizza oven, Bottega on St. Zotique is a great place for pizza done right. For Pizza Week they’ll be offering their pizza Valtellina, with bresaola, taleggio, mozzarella, rucola and – it goes without saying – parmigiano for $15.

Where to satisfy a pasta craving in Little Italy

Bottega isn’t all about the pizza; make sure to check out the special menu, they have great pasta dishes such as pappardelle with porcini mushrooms and roasted squash. The mushrooms are plentiful, and the squash is seasoned well and melts in your mouth. We’ve also fallen in love with their squash andouille tortellini, homemade, with the right amount of spice. If you prefer one of the classics on their regular menu, be sure to order their gnocchi pomodoro; their homemade ricotta gnocchi is perfect in a light tomato sauce.
