Great food but the service needs improvement. One waiter spent his time chatting with friends who were there for dinner and had to catch his attention for service and our other server never really bothered with our table one she took our order. I’m old school and want proper service.

We are local Montrealers and we visited Barroco for the first time on Friday night. My first thought is: Why did we wait so long? From the moment we walked in, we knew this was our kind of place. Upscale, but extremely cosy and unpretentious. The only thing better than the atmosphere was the meal itself. We are big time foodies, and Barroco did not disappoint! We shared the Parpadelle Vesuvio as an appetizer, and the combination of Burrata and Pesto was to die for. Then we shared the 40 oz rib steak, cooked rare to perfection! To top it all off, we received unbelievable service all night long (sadly cannot remember our server's name, but thank you again!!), and a great wine recommendation from a well varied wine list. If you've ever thought about visiting Barroco but haven't yet... do yourself a favor and go enjoy!

This was our 5th visit to Barroco and was also our 5th anniversary. The quality and service hasn't deviated one bit from the 1st time we walked in 5 years ago! Barroco has mastered it in all levels you come to expect with a true 5 star restaurant. The food, service and ambience are nothing short of top notch. Pamela was a wonderful and informative server as was the infamous Mr. Ayoub with his class act of mingling with the customers. Bravo to all the staff and big kudos to the chef and his magical kitchen team for consistent and outstanding delicious food. I recommend anything on the menu. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

Outstanding food, service and ambiance in Vieux-Montréal. The halibut with lobster bouillabaisse and guinea fowl with Belgian endive and Louis d’Or sauce were delicious: elegant comfort food! I was especially impressed with our expert sommelier. We will see you on our next visit to Montréal!

We were in town for a date weekend and this was a perfect restaurant. Service was amazing. Staff were knowledgeable in regards to cocktails, food and wine, and were very personable and attentive. Food was exceptional. Highly recommend.
