This meal was the highlight of our romantic weekend getaway! Service was excellent, the staff were friendly, knew the menu inside and out, and offered great advice to us neophytes on French food. The atmosphere was also friendly and the COVID precautions were exemplary. Try the profiteroles d’erables... honestly, one the best things I’ve ever eaten! Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff were friendly.

I ordered the Gravlax and the Duck Confit. Both were excellent. The complimentary pickles and Dijon dipping sauce was a very nice touch, as well. Definitely recommend, especially if you are looking for that classic Montreal-French bistro experience.

Excellent in every way!

It was a great experience. We had heard about L'Express a lot and decided to check out the breakfast. In terms of the menu, it doesn't experiment much. But the food is class apart. The freshly squeezed orange juice is damn good. We had ordered a french toast and a mushroom omelette. Their french toast is one of the best in Montreal. With the eggs, you can have a freshly baked croissant. The Coffee can be better. But their service is also very good. The Restaurant has already been reviewed and is quite a landmark. Make sure to have a booking done.
