Blackfoot Truckstop Diner opened in Inglewood in 1956, and since then has served up a variety of fresh baked pies daily. With berry options and mile-high banana cream and flapper pie, there is something for everyone’s sweet tooth on this dessert menu.

Why go to all the trouble of baking your own pie when you can hop in the car and head to Pies Plus at Avenida Shopping Centre. With over 80 pies to choose from, if you can’t find one you want, you aren’t trying hard enough. My favourite? The Merry Berry made with blueberry, raspberry and cranberry (and no it wasn’t named after me).

Dessert house Bliss & Co serves excellent cupcakes and pies. Individual fruit pies are available daily while they last. Visit their Bow Valley Square or Northmount location on Thursdays and Fridays for decadent cream pies. All Bliss & Co goodies are nut-free.
