Bellinis that will bowl you over in Edmonton

The Bellini may be a classic drink but every bar has their own unique take on this cocktail. Sometimes it’s frozen, sometimes it’s just poured over ice, but a Bellini is always fruity, sweet and delicious. These establishments whip up some of the finest Bellinis in the city. For a unique take on an old favourite, try their twisted Bellini. It has Absolut mandarin vodka instead of rum but the flavour goes nicely with peach schnapps and Island Original peach mix. They also carry blasted Bellinis in a variety of flavours, including strawberry, lime and lemon.

If you like the idea of a Bellini but don’t like rum, this is a good option. They use Chambord, a raspberry-flavoured liqueur, instead of rum, and combine it white peach puree and sparkling wine over ice for a nice take on an old classic.

They use dark rum in their Bellini for a more intense flavour. Combined with peach schnapps, red wine, peach slush and champagne, the result is a Bellini that packs a wallop.

Their real peach Bellini is plum full of legit peach molasses, Appleton vx rum, sparkling wine and red sangria. The real peach goo adds a nice dose of sweetness but it’s nicely balanced out by the rum. Bonus: Bellinis are on special every Monday.

Moxie's Grill & Bar

The white peach Bellinis here are always a treat. It’s a sugary, slushy heap of alcoholic goodness – and, on Wednesdays, they’re on special. If you really want to indulge, you can “Moxie-size” your Bellini to make it roughly the size of a trough.

There are two options for delicious Bellinis here: the original and the ultimate. The first mixes white rum, peach liqueur and sparkling white wine with Boone’s sangria, while the latter option has all of that, plus a shot of any of Smirnoff’s flavoured vodka. Both are the colour of cotton candy with the texture of a slush.

Bacardi white superior rum, Phillips peach schnapps, peach puree, orange juice and red wine collide in a flavour explosion to create the Bella Bellini at MKT. It’s extra fruity, and extra delicious.

These Bellinis are another frozen favourite of mine. It’s a martini glass full of boozy, sweet slush that tastes of summer. Their frozen white peach Bellini consists of Appleton vx amber rum, white wine, red sangria and peaches. Yum.

The frozen Bellinis here are truly exquisite. Never too saccharine but still sweet enough to make your taste buds sing with glee. They combine peach schnapps, white rum, champagne and sangria to make the ultimate Bellini. Be careful – these go down way too quickly!

While their Bellini is billed as a martini, it retains all of the classic ingredients that make a drink a Bellini: white rum, fresh orange juice, peach puree, white wine and a peach garnish. The barkeep uses Cannonball cabernet sauvignon wine to keep things fresh and exciting.
