Aqua | Sushi + Juice Bar

1764 Manitoba St, Vancouver, BC V5Y 0H1

If you think sushi and a smoothie sounds like a strange combination; you’re not the only one. But the Quench smoothie at Aqua Sushi in Olympic Village is just delightful! It’s made with a tropical mix of organic pineapples, cucumbers, pears, lime and coconut water. Pair it with a Red Roof roll filled with scallop, spicy tuna and unagi dressing for a light and refreshing meal.

The Juice Truck

28 5th Ave W, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1H5

Choose from a vibrant list of smoothies and nutrient-rich cold pressed juices at this beloved juice bar. The signature green smoothie is a great mid-day pick-me-up made with a nourishing blend of kale, banana, avocado and ginger. For something sweet and truly delicious, try the Almost Chocolate – a creamy mix of banana, medjool dates, almond butter, raw cacao, raw maca and almond milk. Trust me, $8 will go a long way at this popular mobile juice bar. Getting thirsty while shopping in Gastown? Fret not; you’ll find the original Juice Truck parked on the corner of Water and Abbott.

Living Produce Aisle

100-1168 Hamilton St, Vancouver, BC V6B 2S2

Living Produce Aisle is a little hidden gem in Yaletown. The team grows their own microgreens (micro arugula, kale, wheatgrass, broccoli) using the Urban Cultivator indoor gardening system, so you can be sure your smoothie is made with seriously fresh-picked ingredients. My favourite smoothie on the menu is the Garden of Eden, which is packed full of nasturtium, kale, orange juice, lemonade, mango and banana. Take it to go and head over to the nearby Seawall for a healthy and leisurely stroll.

Commodity Juicery

3975 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC V5V 4E5

Ask for the Strawburst smoothie at Commodity Juicery and you won’t be disappointed! This bright berry smoothie will put a smile on your face thanks to its sweet and delicious mix of strawberry, banana, cinnamon, coconut and dates. Smoothies here are also available in bowl form, with four different options and flavours ranging from green matcha to tropical pineapple to golden banana with almond mylk. Smoothie bowls can be sprinkled with seeds and nuts and amped up with the addition of ginger or turmeric. The juice bar also offers a juice and food delivery program too; just check with Carissa.

Porto Cafe

5
2207 Cambie St, Vancouver, BC V5Z 2T5

Strawberry or peach? Porto Cafe offers two deliciously fruity options to help satisfy your smoothie cravings. These icy, blended beverages are perfect if you’re already three cups deep in caffeine and need something a little different to tide you over ’til dinnertime. The slick and modern Olympic Village coffee shop offers free WiFi, comfortable seating, high ceilings and tons of natural light – so it’s a great place to spend a couple hours getting some work done.

Jugo Juice

6
610 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6C 3T3

Next time you’re at the mall, skip the junk food and go for a healthy alternative instead. The smoothies at this popular chain are made with unsweetened juices and are packed with wholesome ingredients that provide nourishing benefits to your mind and body. Mighty Kale is my favorite and comes loaded with mango, spinach, kale, apple juice, orange juice and pineapple. If you’re really hungry (or you’ve just come from spin class) add protein, spirulina, or even chlorella for an extra burst of energy.

Chatime

7
1274 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6E 1C1

This Tawainese teashop chain offers much more than just bubble tea; the menu also features 10 smoothies and slushy drinks to try on those hot summer days. The list of blended specialty drinks includes a strawberry yogurt smoothie, coffee smoothie, banana chocolate smoothie, passion fruit slush, and a unique matcha red bean smoothie. Customize your drink the way you like it (less sugar, more ice) and collect reward points towards your next purchase.
