Even though it’s a smaller restaurant, Golden Harvest definitely holds its own in terms of quality when compared to other dim sum restaurants. You will always find this place packed. Their service is quick and friendly, and makes you want to go back again. They have a great list of dim sum options, but our personal favourite would be their duck tongue. Not a lot of places have this option and they definitely nail this dish!

Located on the second floor at the Continental Mall in Richmond, this place could easily go unnoticed yet it is always filled with customers, largely due to their fresh dim sum and great service. There are only a handful of restaurants left in Vancouver that still utilize the dim sum pushcart, and this place is one of the few that maintains the traditional way of serving dim sum. Who doesn’t like to see delectable dishes wheeled to the table and picking up selections on the spot? They keep the dim sum in heated carts, so the food stays hot while it goes around the restaurant. This place is constantly pushing out carts filled with fresh dim sum, which means you’ll definitely be leaving with a fully satisfied stomach.

Red Star Seafood Restaurant

This place is always packed! They have underground parking at the Granville Street location but you’ll probably have better luck finding street parking. The menu features a massive selection of dim sum options and their food is always on point. Every dish they serve just makes me want to drool whenever I think about it. As one of Vancouver’s longest standing dim sum places, Flamingo definitely earns a spot on this list. The Cambie Street restaurant is known for its neighbourhood vibe and extremely friendly service.
