Keylime Athletic Wear

1
100-2693 Broadmoor Blvd, Sherwood Park, AB T8H 0G1

This cute little shop, located in Sherwood Park, stocks workout gear that is both comfortable and fashionable – perfect for the jogger who likes to look good while they sweat. The store carries their own line of clothing, as well as several other brands. Their clothing includes cute tank tops with cheeky sayings (such as “Monday Hates You Too” or “Running Late is My Cardio”), yoga pants, sweaters, hoodies and shorts. They also sell yoga mats, water bottles, athletic socks and headbands, and more.

Poppy Barley

2
301-10359 104 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5J 1B9

Women across Canada are going nuts for this Edmonton custom shoe company, with pop-ups in Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto. The company, which focuses on creating made-to-measure, ethical footwear, has recently expanded their line to include a few accessories, such as beautiful wristlets. While a pair of Foxhunt boots may be a bit pricey for a gift ($498), their leather wristlets or an upcycled leather tassel necklace make a glamorous, reasonably priced gift. When in doubt, they do sell gift cards, as well.

They offer personal shopping, so the expert staff can help you find the ideal scarf, bag or pair of shoes for your chic sister-in-law.

Kate Spade

2333-8882 170 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 4M2

The arrival of a Kate Spade store at West Edmonton Mall is one of the best things to ever happen to fashion gals in this city. Their website includes a gift guide, with price points of under $200, under $100 and under $50, making browsing a breeze. The store is beautifully organized and not at all cluttered, making shopping in person easy, as well. Pick out a polka dot clutch, whimsical apron, wine tote, cocktail shaker, shiny business card holder or fun travel mug for a gift your pals will always cherish.

Jacek Chocolate Couture

5
10140 104 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5J 1A7

Yes, it’s a chocolate shop but it’s still a fabulous place to pick out a gift or two for the fashionistas on your Christmas shopping list. The concept behind Jacek is linking chocolate with couture and fashion by naming each decadent chocolate bar after a famous fashionable figure in history, such as Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy or Audrey Hepburn. They even have a Christmas-themed “The Claus” bar, which is white chocolate infused with peppermint oil and pieces of candy cane. Santa Claus may not be a traditional fashion icon but he is well-known for his outfit, right?

I’ve found some of my favourite pieces of jewellery here, including a beloved rose gold love knot bracelet from local designer Orange Avocado.

Red Ribbon Gifts Inc

7
12505 102 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5N 0M4

This eclectic shop is a fun place to browse through and pick out gifts – the hardest part is resisting picking up a few things for yourself! They carry a great mix of clothing, accessories and footwear. Their jewellery – particularly the gorgeous Mantraband bracelets in gold, rose gold and silver – make beautiful gifts. Another fabulous find is the stunning spirit animal necklaces from Jaeci, featuring round metallic discs with cut outs of animals, such as cats, foxes, owls and dogs.

Or, you could browse in person and peruse their collections of scarves, jewellery, hats, shoes, belts, outerwear, dresses, jumpsuits and more. Their clothing is designed to be timeless and not focused on trends, making it an ideal gift for the friend who appreciates quality.

Kombucha tea, a slightly bubbly fermented drink made with a green or black tea base, is a sweet but healthy alternative to pop. Makers claim it can aid in digestive health, plus it just tastes fantastic. Often made from organic, raw ingredients, kombucha teas have exploded in popularity in the past decade. These Edmonton shops carry a variety of brands, including some Canuck favourites.
