Begun more than 15 years ago, the studio offers classes in drawing and painting, some of which are taught by guest artists. No experience is required, as owner Carol Maxwell believes art should not be limited to those who are “naturally gifted.” The studio also offers custom framing and features a gift gallery of locally produced original artwork. Additionally, art supplies can be purchased in-house.

This studio is a hub for creative and exhibition space for local programs and resident artists. It also offers a series called “Authentic Art” for artists with disabilities living in St. Albert and the surrounding area. Professional artists teach the program, which works with visual arts. VASA offers a workshop for the general public about once a year, although individual artists who maintain studio space in the building may also be approached about teaching specific classes.

With classes tailored for children, women, and men, as well as mixed age and sex classes, many ofSt. Albert’s martial arts schools offer a free trial class, the option to attend multiple times a week, and registration intakes any time throughout the year.
