Amaranth Whole Foods

Located on the lower level of St. Albert’s expansive and beautiful Enjoy Centre, Amaranth Foods carries bulk, organic and natural foods, as well as a large variety of gluten-free shelf and frozen foods. These include four brands of gluten-free bread – Kinnick Kinnick, Udi's, Food for Life and Canyon – as well as Kinnick Kinnick doughnuts. Darcy's Meat Market Ltd

A market that buys supplies mostly from local farmers, D'Arcy's carries gluten-free products from sausages to patties to marinated meats.  They prepare many gluten-free products from scratch on-site and adhere to Canadian food labelling guidelines.  Have a tricky allergy for them to work around? La Crema Caffe

Tucked along trendy St. Thomas street, the pretty brick façade and quaint patio of La Crema Caffé will beckon you inside.  The “Little Taste of Italy” restaurant includes four varieties of gluten-free pizza on its menu, as well as gluten-free soup, salad and cornbread.  The café also offers a rotating selection of gluten-free desserts, including squares (often big enough to share), pies and tiramisu.  Dine in to savour some lunch or grab a gluten-free square to go!

A staple of St. Albert Centre, Winners carries goods from clothes to toys to household items.  More importantly, for those seeking new gluten-free foods to try, Winners’ revolving stock of baking mixes, snack foods and sauces is an opportunity to purchase unique gluten-free products not found elsewhere locally.  Watch for Pamela’s Cornbread and Muffin Mix or Wholesome Chow’s four varieties of non-GMO, gluten-free cookies (Lemon, mmmm!).

Although none of them see reptiles, there are a number of veterinarian clinics to choose from in St. Albert, with specialties including cat care, eye care and pain treatment options.
