Situated in the downtown Bank of Nova Scotia historical building, this glitzy watering hole is as fun and sociable as it looks. A popular stop for evening venue hoppers, this Kensington Village spot is great for dinner and drinks. Order French bistro-inspired mains, or a selection of shareables from cheese plates and charcuterie to oysters and small-plate snacks. Wine is naturally in good supply, but also consider sampling the sherry selection.

Vin Room

Tapas and wine make for a mighty fine time at Vin Room. Its flagship location in an old bike shop on Fourth Avenue Southwest is cozy and intimate inside. In warm weather, its rooftop patio, which overlooks the activity of the avenue, can’t be beat. The venue’s Enomatic Wine System makes sampling superb.
