Vancouver restaurants for a business lunch

As a blogger, I’m often trying to uncover quick lunch spots where I can meet with fellow bloggers and potential collaborators. I like to find restaurants that balance great food with friendly service and a unique atmosphere. I’ve always felt that places with a unique flair and interesting touches help encourage creativity, which is essential in the fashion industry.

The Dirty Apron Cooking School & Delicatessen

1
540 Beatty St, Vancouver, BC V6B 2L3

Located right on Beatty Street, this SkyTrain-accessible dining spot is perfect for lunch meetings that need to be along a transit route. The Dirty Apron offers decadent coffees, a delicious menu of goodies, free WiFi, and an array of gourmet take-home items at the on-site delicatessen. For meetings, you can either sit in the main area or in the dining room. Both spaces have a rustic-meets-modern feel to them, complete with heavy wooden tables and large glass windows. Keep this locale in mind if you’re looking to improve your culinary skills as they also offer regular cooking classes.

Meat & Bread

2
1033 Pender St W, Vancouver, BC V6E 2M6

Meat & Bread’s Coal Harbour location is a convenient spot for a quick lunch meeting. Enjoy a yummy sandwich while sitting outside on the picturesque patio, or take your order to go. The affordable and delicious sandwiches make this a spot that you’ll definitely want to frequent after trying it. There’s also WiFi available if you need to finish up a few projects during your lunch break.

Café Medina

3
780 Richards St, Vancouver, BC V6B 3A4

Open daily from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Café Medina is the perfect go-to for a breakfast or lunch meeting. The menu features an array of delicious and unique brunch items, artisanal coffees and inventive cocktails – so keep this restaurant on your must-try list! It’s located on Richards Street close to the Granville SkyTrain station, making it quite accessible for those travelling into the downtown. Be warned: this popular spot attracts crowds throughout the week, so it might not be the best place to visit if you’re in a rush.

The Belgard Kitchen

4
55 Dunlevy Ave, Vancouver, BC V6A 3A3

Brunch spot, winery and brewery – this place has it all! Its rustic and inspiring decor paired with delicious food makes Belgard Kitchen a great place for a business meeting. The vibe is low-pressure and casual, and you’ll find plenty of wine and beer on tap if you’re interested in a liquid lunch. Be sure to also keep this Railtown restaurant on your radar for a little after-hours hang out.

Tuc Craft Kitchen

5
60 Cordova St W, Vancouver, BC V6B 1C9

Head to the heart of Gastown and you’ll find Tuc, a must-try spot for lunch or dinner. The modern tavern serves up elevated pub fare and comfort foods (I highly recommend the orange glazed lamb ribs) and the service is incredibly friendly. There’s no WiFi available, but it’s a funky spot to unplug while catching up with clients and colleagues.

Chambar Restaurant

6
568 Beatty St, Vancouver, BC V6B 2L3

Located nearby Stadium SkyTrain station, this convenient fine-dining spot offers globally inspired food, delicious coffee and a beautiful setting for your next lunch meeting. If you love rustic décor, you’re sure to love Chambar: the high ceilings, brick walls and unique light installations create a refreshing and unpretentious environment. Breakfast and lunch are available throughout the week from 8:00 am onwards.

Miku Japanese Restaurant

7
70-200 Granville St, Vancouver, BC V6C 1S4

If you love Japanese cuisine, this renowned sushi restaurant is a must try. Located on the waterfront in Coal Harbor, Miku is a sophisticated spot serving Aburi-style sushi at its best while also providing a beautiful view of the harbour. During the summer, make sure to snag a spot on their scenic waterfront patio for all of your lunch meetings.
