I come here every couple of weeks when I'm in the area, a good hearty breakfast served promptly and cheerfully. Can't ask for much more than that! Parking is the only drawback, the lot is quite small and if the snow is piled up it can be a tight squeeze, that's why I rated it an 8 overall. There's a convenience store a couple of doors down where you can buy a newspaper to read with your meal, always a plus for me. Read more

My friends and I decided to visit Cambridge for an out-of-town getaway. We are all admitted food snobs (one is a chef), so we perused menus and reviews online before heading out (we're from the GTA). It was pretty busy on Friday night so I am glad we made reservations. We arrived and were seated by a very accommodating host (who we found out later was an owner), and served by one of the most pleasant servers I've ever encountered (perhaps his name was Josh?). Every single employee at that restaurant was happy to be at work, which may not sound important, but it is and is one of the gages I use when I'm dining out. My husband and I both worked in restaurants for years, and happy staff says a lot about the owners, chef and overall customer experience that the server is trying to sell. Josh spoke highly of the owner as well as proudly explained the food and the creativeness of the chef and his menu. The food was fresh, creative and delicious. We were really delighted. It wasn't a five-star dining experience (but you are not going in expecting that), rather, it is a twist on pub fare that will leave you pleasantly surprised. We also enjoyed that the restaurant was not 'full of itself', the staff, chef and owners were humble and grateful for any compliments and made us feel welcome and appreciated as diners at their restaurant. My friends and I were sold from the moment we walked in. So much so, that we went back for lunch the next day (it was a no-brainer) and the chef came out to say hi to us and thank us for coming back! We cannot say enough great things about our experience there. I strongly encourage anyone reading this to visit Cafe 13 and enjoy their great food and hospitality. Read more

Once the food had arrived the eggs and omelette were perfect the bacon wasnt too cooked or under cooked. Everything was made just perfect. I've tried a few places in town now, and my family and I still find the Dearborne has the best Value. The food is excellent, and they're one of the few places that still use homemade homefries. The service is just what i want on a Sunday morning: fast friendly and unpretentious. Read more

This place is great, my family and I come here regularly for lunch and breakfast. On sunday, we took my father here for father's day, and our whole family was impressed with the food and the value (they joined us from out of town). We all had a great time, and were well taken care of even though the place was really busy. It's the ONLY place to go for good breakfast and lunch in town, and more people should support local and independent restaurant owners- Woodstock has too many restaurant chains. Read more

Wow...we went again after the TV show "Restaurant Makeover" re-did the restaurant....always loved the food and the cafeteria style service...although now they do offer table serve !! Thank goodness that the show didn't change up the menu....with the fresh bread daily and healthy choices....we love this place...One of my friends tried the new gourmet burgers and it was in her words FANTASTIC...the sweet potato fries that it was served with are the best we have tasted......the inside is now "french country" which is very comfortable....no wonder this place has been in business over 20 years !!
