This was a sigularly phenomenal experience. All of our food was lick-your-plate excellent. I love their investment in local food producers. Their housemade breads, butters, pastas totally show it. We also were treated to a random complimentary amuse-bouche of a pork terrine with caramelized onions on crostini. Vanilla creme brulee was the single best creme brulee I've ever had--PERFECTLY burnt sugar. Truly amazing prices for food this good.
ONLY down thought? Cocktails are expensive and taste like actual booze. Given that I'm normally a fruity liqour drinker, they were hard drinks to swallow! A connaisseur might feel differently. [Had Autumn sidecar/dark & stormy]

It was odd to see a Thai restaurant in the middle of Little Italy but we were impressed with the food. Specifically, the Chicken Pad Thai and the Tom Yum noodle soup were very good.
There is actually a Thai cook making the food. It really showed. I haven't had good Pad Thai for a while. Some places use ketchup but not this place. My first time tasting Tom Yum noodle soup and I was impressed with the right level of sour and spiciness.
Our waitress was very attentive and considerate. I will definitely go back.

My wife and I travel from Mississauga to Flip Toss & Thai on Harbord Street about once a month and have done for almost two years. We read a review in NOW and it was spot on. The family who own it are so welcoming and friendly.
The food is made fresh in the semi-open kitchen. It is ready in 10 minutes and is always superb no matter what we order. We usually buy extra to take home and the prices are great.
We have tried other Thai restaurants in Mississauga but the food usually pales in comparison so we continue to make the trek to Toronto.
Most of their business is take-out but there is a very small,very casual but clean seating area with about a dozen chairs and we always enjoy our stay. The only downside is that there aren't any washrooms because it is considered to be a take-out establishment due to number of seats. Don't let this put you off. If you want authentic Thai food and don't mind spending less than $25 for a great meal for two you really should give it a try. You might become addicted like we are.

Edulis is amazing. The only thing disappointing for me is when dinner is over. The food is phenomenal, the service is warm and friendly, and the space is comfortable and unpretentious.
They go above and beyond with thoughtful touches to the experience, like remembering it was my husband and my anniversary.

Arrayed on top of the noodles in orderly rows are the pork, shrimp and a darkly crisp spring roll, along with strips of vinegared carrot and daikon, shredded cucumber, fresh mint leaves and bean sprouts. Nuoc cham sauce arrives on the side in a pretty little star shaped ramekin. The aroma of the grilled pork tantalizes. It has been sliced thin to maximize the crispy charred exterior, while still being pleasantly fatty and tender. The spring roll is perfectly fried and filled with a dense mixture of delicately chopped meat and vegetable. The shrimp has been finely minced and mixed with a good dose of garlic, before being formed around a sugarcane skewer, reminiscent of a sophisticated Pogo.....
