First of all, let me say this is by far the best AYCE Korean BBQ in Montreal. The environment is nicely decorated with addition of dim lights, which can make the dinner special. What makes this place different from other typical AYCE KBBQ is the ventilation system and the use of paper grilling. Not only you will smell less after dinner, but also you avoid eating the excess of fat and oil. This is amazing invention! Other than that, the food is good (Korean BBQ one, don't expect much from sushi) Read more

Chez Bong is a Korean-Chinese style restaurant located in Chinatown. The restaurant itself is small and is founded downstairs. However, don't let the outside fool you, the inside looks more comfortable than you think. The owner is Korean so the food selection is very good: jajangmyeon (black beans sauce noodles), jjampong, japchae, jjigae, etc. I tried the kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), yuk gae jang (beef stew soup) and mandu (dumplings). They're all very good and not very spicy for Canadians. Read more

Korean food is amazing and this one does not disappoint. The decoration is mediocre but it's managed by real Korean. Nonetheless, the food is excellent: I recommend the Korean seafood pancake, you won't regret it. It's incredibly tasty with the sauce included. The marinated beef is full of flavor and very tender. The proportions are big so think before ordering a load of meals. The price is also adequate. Overall, I'm impressed by this restaurant and the outside does not make this place justice. Read more

This is the original Mon Ami location at NDG. I ate the one at downtown and it left my disappointed. However, this one tastes much better. The Korean fried chicken were crunchy, juicy and so hot. There's also a waiting line (especially on weekend) so expect to wait a little but it's worth it. The staff is friendly and the service could somewhat improve but the food is really good. The tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) were amazing. This is one of the best Korean fried chicken restaurant in Montreal. Read more
