Wow! What a treat. We had driven by the place over and over again and there was always cars parked there no matter the time of the day and now I know why! The menu, which consists mostly of the good old hardy foods - meat and potatoes stuff - is absolutely fantastic. We were always searching for a great place to eat in Peterborough that we both could love and coming up short. We have found a great love in Uncle Georges. Sometimes the wait staff is not as good as other times, but the meal is always outstanding. We have been there 4 times in the past 4 months and love it. We will be back. Whether or not the menu changes in the summer I don't know but the prime rib is absolutely to die for.

This is one of the best restaurants we have been to. The atmosphere is friendly, there is always something that everyone can enjoy whether you're 60 or 4 years old. if it's not on the menu, their wonderful chef and staff will make sure that you have what you would like. the service is warm and friendly and they remember your name. The prices are reasonable and the food is perfectly prepared.

I love going to the Old Bridge Inn(OBI) all summer long. I love the way its a little tucked away restaurant where you can enjoy the view and breeze from the patio, take a walk after dinner to the locks, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with amazing food.
As an appetizer, I usually have one of the salads cause the dressings are soo good. Not to sweet, not to thick, just right and the greens are never swimming in dressing either, which is something that I prefer over soggy salad.
Most recently, I had the broiled trout on quinoa. Oh my god! So light, and fresh. This chef really knows how to cook fish. It was nice and moist, evenly cooked with a fresh fruit salsa on top. I loved it. I think that the trout was actually local, and the server said that it was caught just the day before. So Fresh!!! And it was accompanied with quinoa, which is a nice alternative to the plain, standard rice you get with rice in so many other restaurants. And of course, the signature vegetables! I don't know any other restaurant that gives you so many vegetables, all with individual flavours and spices. On top of it all, they carry some of Ontario's best V.Q.A. wines, as well as a variety of international vintages. I enjoyed some of the Inniskillen Pinot Grigio, and it went so well with the fish.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to get out of the city and have a great, relaxed dining experience.

This friendly, greek inspired, restaurant is a great place to stop in to and have a relaxing meal. The pizza is the best in the area and the Red Ale from Church Key Brewery is reason enough to return! We ordered the Beef tenderloin crostini, pork belly, baby back ribs, and black cod. The pork belly was the crispest and least fatty that I've ever had, it was spectacular. The flavors on the crostini were very good, the cherry chutney and dijon aioli went very well together. And the ribs... much better than any I've had at a Ribfest. My GF said the black cod was the tastiest fish she had ever had. The ambiance is nice cottage country, the dining room intimate with only four tables. A definite repeat!.

This is my go to place for fish and chips. The chips are made from scratch and fried to perfection. The halibut is battered perfectly - not too thick, not too thin. Even the coleslaw is fresh tasting and flavourful. The prices are very reasonable and worth every penny.
