My Family, friends and I have been going to the Egg and I for years and although I never thought of writing a review, I have to this time. We were greeted immediately and only waited a few minutes for a table to clear, it was packed! We celebrated my birthday last Sunday and I was craving their Herb Feta Omelette, with a side of Cherry Pink Bacon, which in my opinion is the BEST brand to buy, and cooked to my perfection. Our drinks came out fast, coffee was fresh and always available but what I appreciated most was all our food came out at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their order and we all devoured the Banana Walnut Pancakes. I've been to fine dining and can't stand when my portion is the size of my palm and our food is not served at the same time. The Egg and I is a wonderful, fun Family Breakfast restaurant in Hamilton. Been here many times since it opened and have found the food being better at times than others, but have always walked out satisfied. I find their Pad Thai really great and can never resist ordering it. The mango salad and fresh rolls are nice light starters. Most recently (Fall 2011) I shared the vegan eggplant dish and pad thai with my dining partner and found them both satisfactory but my dining partner found the eggplant too tender.
