Swiss Chalet Franchised first united in the year of 1954 and has been a Canadian favorite ever since. Swiss Chalet is known for its fresh on premise rotisserie chicken; the slow roasted chicken is also served with Canadian potatoes and simmering delicious Chalet dipping sauce. Swiss Chalet, is also known for its incredible tender grilled ribs, also served with sides of fresh cut fries, that makes Chalets food so delicious. Every Swiss Chalet location has a family orientated atmosphere. The setting consists of casual tables and booth seating as many as twelve customers, comfortable chairs and simple artwork covers the walls. We were lucky enough to be placed beside a warm brick fireplace, on a cold winter afternoon. As we walked in, we were instantly greeted by the host at Swiss Chalet on Dundas Street in Cambridge, Ontario. He led us to our booth within minutes, as the waitress made her way to our table. The energy around us from the staff, customers and store were welcoming, warm, and crucial to how comfortable, and suitable our lunch was going to be. The rotisserie chicken club wrap with fries, along with the rotisserie quarter chicken meal with whipped potatoes was ordered during our visit, with excellent service and time management. The server was friendly, engaged in conversation and interest of what we were ordering and how satisfied we were with our Swiss Chalet experience. Our overall experience at Swiss Chalet, the Cambridge location was delightful. I go here all the time with my family. Wa all enjoy the great atmosphere and good service. The food is delicious! My son loves the selection of pastas, and my husband could have an affair with their ribs! Service is fast and efficient, I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to receive each course. I came here for lunch a few times and tried a different sauce each time. I personally prefer the Buffalo style wings, if that's what your looking for then this is not the place. It is what it is and for what it is it is good. The wings were consistantly a good size, crispy, fresh tasting and juicy. No complaints there. Of the three sauces I tried I think the medium was best. They have tons of sauces though so there's lots there to explore. It's hard to rate service and atmosphere in a take out joint so I give a five for service since I had no waiting time to be served and server was friendly and cheerful. Read more
