I am amazed at how consistently fresh and delectable the sushi is at Hana. I've eaten at a lot of different sushi restaurants all over the world but there's something about Hana sushi that's worth coming back to. Their staff is always pleasant and the service is phenomenal. I've heard some negative reviews on some of the dishes from others, but the time we went, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING we ordered, was absolutely delicious! That was probably because we had consulted with some friends who already had been there before, and they gave us a list of what to order. I rarely ever post reviews on anything so when I do it means a lot to me. Open Sesame is both my wife's and my favorite reasturant. The food is very good and I would highly recommend the buffet style stirfry as you get exactly what you want for a good price. The atmosphere is casual yet can still be romantic. It has a japanese theme with lots of character and style without seeming at all crowded. Pricing is good and the service is even better. I've been to a lot of restaurants in the calgary area but none are better for a nice casual night out for a couple. Read more

Went there with friends for lunch for the first time - WOW the amount of food you can get for about $12 is unbelievable. Ordered the Lunch Bento Box Special with Sushi and Tempura, and got Miso soup, a salad, huge bowl of rice, 4 HUGE pieces of Sushi and several HUGE pieces of tempura. I couldn't even finish it all!
