I have been to Kawa several times since moving to the area and have also ordered takeout from kawa and it has been nothing but delicious. The restaurant is super cute, it almost feels like you are eating in your own kitchen, The wait staff are super friendly, helpful and quick. My take-out experiences have been jsut as wonderful and the food is ALWAYS fresh. I will never go to another sushi restaurant other than kawa, it's that amazing. Dr. Russ operated and gave pain medication to take home. Also we found out that he had parasites and he was given medication for that. I am not vegetarian but I have always enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Last time, I had the potato apple gratin with sweet potato corn bread and it was one of the best tasting dishes I've had in a restaurant. I hope this restaurant is able to move to a bigger location soon as it is a bit cramped where they are now. It was very busy when my daughter and I were there for dinner, but that does not excuse them from trying to seat us at a dirty table. The waitress cleared cups from the table and then immediately put the menus and utensils down for us. I had to ask her to please wipe the table first! We also had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled when they were empty (which never impresses me in a restaurant....isn't that their job?) In spite of this, yes I would go back because the food is so delicious...they just need to focus a little more on providing the service people expect when they decide to dine out for an evening.
