It was our first time at the restaurant. We went there because one friend went there before and loved it. Me and my wife decided to try 2 brazilian dishes they do as specials: Picanha - a brazilian steak - and feijoada - black beans stew with diverse pork meat. I never tried something like that before! The picanha was very soft. The feijoada tasting very good because of the smoked pork meat. Both plates came with something called "farova" - I think it's the way they spell it. It's a manioc flour with meat and veggies. Very different! Our friend ate F. Mignon and he liked it.. I tried the sauce, very good. Next time I'll try the gnocchi with the same sauce. Read more

Food: Last week was my first time trying Koganei so I didn't get to try lots of food. However, Koganei roll was one of the best roll I ever had. it's bit pricey for a roll (almost $15 with tax) but it's worth it. I do not know exactly what's in the roll (it's shrimp tempura roll with some little bit spicy orange-red stuff with tiny fish eggs on the top) but it was amazing. (I wish red stuff on the top was more spicier though.) I also tried miso base noodle soup (noodles and veggies in miso soup) which was salty for my taste. did not really like it. Service: wait staffs were nice and helpful. when i went, there weren't many people in the restaurant so i didn't have to wait long to order and get my food. Atmosphere: table setting seemed little weird to me because little table for 2 people were placed right next to booth but decor was good. Read more

I loved the atmosphere. Will go back to have the tuna tartare. I had some beef thing on lettuce - it was incredibly bland and for desert I had the eclair which was stale and the cream was hardened. How does this place have such a middling rating? Is it simply THE place to watch a game. Any game. As great as the setting is for watching sports, for me the food and beer selection are the heroes. The "wing king" chef earns his title, and the range of beers wipes the floor with Bier Markt. Yes, it's busy on game nights. Might have something to do with being situated next to the ACC, and a stones-throw away from the Dome. Read more

I've been to Oregano's many times and know the staff quite well. I usually split a pizza to start (margherita) and get an entree, or pasta. I love the veal parmigana. My husband and I went the other night and had an amazing meal, a wonderful bottle of wine recommended by our server that was perfectly paired to our meal. We went there for nice dinner during winterlisious 2012. Overall restaurant is very busy but cozy and romantic. Our server was running around in hurry and as a result during entire evening mixed up who ordered what, since it was only two of us it was ok to switch. Food Overall was very good: My appetizer was yumm and so is my the other person, soft deep fried calamari was excellent. Chicken skewers were moist and sauce was perfectly spicy. For the main dish disappointment arrived, all main dishes come with rice and stir fry. Stir fry was the WORST I have ever tried, super hard giant pieces of cabbage+ raw zucchini made it unpleasant both on taste and texture. Main dish of red curry was excellent and rice was perfectly done. Basil beef was amazing (properly the softest piece of beef I have ever tried in my life). Desserts were good too my mango-chocolate mousse cake was heavenly and banana fritter had amazing crunchy but sweet coating on it . Read more

Came on the basis of great reviews so expectations very high. My gf had a huge fish plate that she thoroughly enjoyed. I had a burger that was exceptionally satisfying. We shared a salad that was sublime. Every patron in the lunch seemed to be sharing our experience which included enjoying the waitresses body and looks. Decor far from eloquent or even upscale but all else including waitress makes up for the modest setting. Read more
