Vegetarian options for Summerlicious 2017

There’s no reason why vegetarians can’t get in on the Summerlicious action this year! From Southern-inspired cuisine, to Italian and Greek, there are loads of great meatless options out there. Luckily, most menus have at least one vegetarian or vegan option for each course, and here are some of the best!

Vegetarian options for Summerlicious 2017

The Carbon Bar
The Carbon Bar’s take on Southern cuisine is known throughout the city, but this Summerlicious it has done a good job focusing on the vegetarian side of things. The eggplant tacos are made with sweet pea puree, charred corn, salsa, cotija cheese and pea tendrils, and for dessert the rocky road sundae has us drooling.

7 Numbers
7 Numbers vegetarian options are plentiful this Summerlicious. The Southern Italian cuisine is only elevated even more with the vegetarian options, like ricotta and baby spinach lasagna or stuffed cremini mushrooms. Try the key lime pie for dessert!

Bangkok Garden
Vegetarian Thai is on the menu this Summerlicious at Bangkok Garden. The vegetarian options include Duo Rolls, cucumber round mango salad, purple eggplant with tofu and glass noodle curry pad thai. You can also ask for the Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai to be served vegetarian.

Peter Pan Bistro
A gem on Queen West, Peter Pan Bistro plays homage to the 1930’s. The charming spot also serves up some delicious vegetarian dishes this Summerlicious. Choose from heirloom beet salad, house ricotta panzanella, or summer risotto!

The Wickson Social
The Wickson Social’s Summerlicious menu is one of the best bets for vegetarians to indulge in a meal at a fun and vibrant Toronto eatery. It offers seasonal soup, fresh salads and a smoked eggplant and goat cheese steak with ratatouille and smoky pistou sauce. You can end your prix-fixe meal with a beautiful summer pavlova.

The Living Room
Starting your meal with watermelon gazpacho just screams Summerlicious! And lucky for vegetarians across Toronto, The Living Room continues the fresh trend for the other two courses. The vegetarian options include grilled tofu with couscous, spaghetti Aglio e Olio and lemon and barley risotto.

Ouzeri
Located in the heart of Greektown, Ouzeri focuses on authenticity when it comes to its vegetarian options. Try the popular Spanakopita, a spinach and feta pastry and the homemade baklava for dessert. It promises to be a true vegetarian feast.

Tabule
Middle Eastern restaurant, Tabule keeps things simple on its vegetarian menu. You can pick from the Eggplant Dinner, found on their lunch menu, or the Falafel Dinner, found on the dinner menu. Don’t skip dessert, all three options are vegetarian!

The Craft Brasserie
An upscale pub is what you can expect when you check out The Craft Brasserie for Summerlicious. Good news for vegetarians: the lunch and dinner menus are plant friendly! Options included smoked tofu, coconut curry and lime guacamole with garlic.

Little Anthony’s Italian Ristorante
Italian cuisine may be known for its cured meats, but Little Anthony’s is offering delicious vegetarian options on its prix-fixe menus this year. Choose from a refreshing chilled zucchini and mint soup, or Strozzapreti Genovese and an olive oil cake for dessert!
