I have been dealing with you guys for 4 yrs with RV and my Honda and always so professional, curt IOU’s, and sosososo helpful, I thank you all to make my life happier and for my ??kekoa... Our older Suv developed a serious radiator leak on a recent morning trip to Kamloops.The first repair shop could not even look at our vehicle for at least 3 hrs. We are seniors from out of town, a little stressed about our situation, & Southgate was our second call;was able to drive there, as they would take a look right away. Our vehicle ended up needing a new rad,& it was ready for us just over 3 hrs later. Thanks to Shane and crew helping us get back on the road!

So guy at Southgate tells me last fall, that I need rear and front brakes done badly on my 2008 mustang but that fronts could wait til spring if had too. I asked my dad and brother to show me how to do brakes and when we pulled brakes off the pads were still 70% good?? Is it because I'm female in a sport car that mechanics find the need to make up shit? Super disappointed that I spent 260 on parts...and wasted my families Saturday helping me replace perfectly good brakes! Not cool Southgate!

Above and Beyond

I broke down late Thursday afternoon and had my vehicle towed into Southgate Radiator & Auto Service. The front staff was very professional and informative. They were able to look at my leak right away and had me back on the road that evening. I want to say a BIG THANK YOU for staying late to get me back on the road! They turned my very stressful situation into a positive experience. I would recommend them to anyone!

Careful when going to Southgate

Bought a block heater cord for my truck, tried to install it, didn't fit, took my truck and the cord there and they charged me $51 for installing a DIFFERENT cord - they gave me the wrong one. Stuart said he would give me a $50 credit so I took his word for it. Tried to use the credit 23 months later for a coolant flush for a different vehicle and was told usually they expire after a year but the lady went and checked. She came back and said they would split the difference with me ($25 credit). Um, no - with the $50 credit, they were the same price as another place so with a $25 credit, they were $25 more...

Dear PSInglis, Thank you for expressing your concern. We at Southgate Radiator and Auto Service stand behind our 12 month or 20 000KM Warranty, on parts and labour. Block heater cords can be difficult to match up with out seeing the vehicle, due to so many after market parts available. We originally sold a block heater cord, and did not install it. When you came back a week later with your vehicle expressing your concerns, we were then able to match the correct cord accordingly. You were not charged for second block heater cord, you were only charged for the labour to install it. This is to cover the technicians time. We also gave you a $50 in-store credit towards your next servicing to reimburse you for your inconvenience. Unfortunately credits do come with a 12month expiry date. We also understand sometimes life gets busy, that is why 23 months later we were willing to split the difference with you instead of dismissing your concerns all together.
