Mr Lovatt took a retainer to help with my case, but the situation ended up resolving itself before he even had to do anything. When I asked for the retainer back, he came up with a bunch of bogus charges totalling $560. He said he called the police and tried to expedite the case, but when I asked the police they confirmed that no one ever called them. When I called him to ask for exact breakdown of charges by the time spent he refused to talk to me. Find a good lawyer, don’t waste your time!!

Derek Lovatt was very poor with handling my case. Here is why listed below : - He was not prepared for trial ( that was pointed out in court, by a judge). - He appeared he didnt know his way around trial proceedings ( again, also pointed out by a judge) - He did not use all the evidence provided to him to aid my case, this was not court strategy.
