My chlid was in the before and after school program. I don't know what my $160 dollars was paying for but it wasn't good child care! These are young adults who have no training other than a criminal background check and CPR. They don't know how to deal with conflicts between kids. Many problems that my child had could have been prevented if the leaders working would have listen to him. When I spoke with the director about my concerns, She was very rude and basically said it wasn't her problem, my child was out! Now I know my child had some bad behavior, I would not disagree with that, But, really when you see leaders ignoring children, drinking their coffees and texting on their phones...I have a problem. You are better off trying to find a private program where they actually care about the children not just their paycheck!
