Autumn Lee Retirement Home

Hi there. I was just talking to my mom in law who is 92 and has terminal cancer in Autumn Lee retirement home in Sackville N.B. Apparently she hasn't had her tv for the past 2 days. So I called Eastlink to find out the reason why. Apparently the owner of the home has disconnected all the cable services there only leaving the one in the common room. She has been in the home there for four and a half years and cable was always included in their rent food is sparse and not appetizing

If your loved one wasn't depressed before, they will certainly be after living here. Staff are lovely but not provided with adequate training or resources. Many safety violations observed and high turn over rate (no consistency) After a couple of visits, I made the decision to place my family member elsewhere, 30 mins away from me but, I feel much better knowing they are safe and well cared for.

Staff are great but are not given the means to care for the clients. What is on the menu is not what actually gets served. I will be trying to get my mom out of there asap.

Had chance to observe a great deal during regular visitation with one of the clients who lives there. Most of the staff are lovely and seem to really care about the patients but are not trained to deal with emergencies. the place is very run down , lots of broken stuff and they sometimes run low on food. I heard other patients talking and it seems like the boss is either not interested or does not care. So sad. Thank God the staff are loving!!!!
