Good Doubles

Doubles were good, the aloo pie was a disappointment. Don't get the hot doubles. Their hot is like suicide. Other than that doubles were decent not the best but decent.

Good friendly service and lots of chicken in the roti. Nice big pieces. Friendly staff, clean premises. Good West Indian music in the background. Premises are inspected and passed inspection which is important for me.

This is the best west indian restaurant around...

This is the best west indian restaurant around. We have been going her for years. We have 3 children and they love it too! it is the next best thing to home cooked food...these guys are awesome! it doesn't matter what ethnic background you come from, there is something for everyone! AND they are not rude! the service is awesome and they treat everyone with the same respect. I see all kinds of different backgrounds going in and out all the time. WE LOVE YOU ROTI SHOP!!!!!

By far the best West Indian Trinidad restaurant...

By far the best West Indian Trinidad restaurant that I have been to. The food is fantastic, just the right composition to dazzle the tastes buds. I have been coming here for many years and I am never disapointed with the quality of food. Well worth a visit. The doubles and aloo pie are my favs at this location.

I had been to this eatery twice in 2 years, and I...

I had been to this eatery twice in 2 years, and I found it to be nice and well run, but however being of Trinidadian decent, born and raised and can cook the foods, I have an idea of what EXACTALLY the food is to taste like. The food was alright, but I found the curry at the time I went and ate with my friend who he too was of Trinidadian decent and can cook the food of which we ordered, had both agreed that the food tasted as if it were watered down, or meat was precooked then added to the gravey. Later that day we both had upset stomachs. Then 2 years later I try it again with a different friend who is not of any caribbean decent, who tried the BBQ chicken, and he said it was alright but too burned tasting, which was noticable when he recieved it and he should have piped up if he saw a problem. I ate some rice dish and it was good, but once again not what I was braught up to cook and know as good tasting authentic food as named. However I know many regions of the caribbean have different ways of cooking the same foods, some like it hot and spicy, others like it way mild and bland, but call it all by the same name due to similar methods of cooking and ingredients. The lady at the counter was great and her family of friends who help cook in the back were cheerful and fairly time efficient. Great prices and I will probably visit again, and try something else. Every restaurant has something good to eat, and to each their own flavor and tastes.
