This place is a d...

This place is a dump! 100$ a night. The floors were squeaky, I had mold around the base of the tub (a tub from the 70's), the beds sag and the front desk service was brutal. I stood waiting to check in while the girl at the front desk carried on a personal phone call ! Sorry but I have nothing good to say about this hotel. Go some place else. I have to leave a star rating so I'm giving it one star...that's for the Tim Horton's next door

I would like to respond by saying that this hotel has had a complete renovation and is now proud to be affiliated with Wyndham Hotels as a new Super 8 property effective July 2015. Please drop in next time you are in Kirkland Lake. Regards DP

Looks are deciviving

Room was clean, but the front of the building misleads you in thinking it worth a hundred a night. It seems to cater to the underbelly of society. there is what looks like a old motel adjacent to it that is a old as the hills, people partied all afternoon and we were could get little sleep with extreme noise well after 3 am. The front desk appeared helpful but not really. Actually Kirkland Lake should and could be easily avoided with good accommodations available both north and south. We spent over 3 hundred dollars in that town that aft/night/morn but that's the last money we or my company will spend there.
