I Love Swiss Chalet, but very disappoint

I love Swiss Chalet. I probably go there a few times a month. Normally have a great meal,quick service and a over all good experience. My mother and i had chicken dinners on friday nights, absolutely fanastic. service,hot food,and restraunt was packed at 730pm at night. So the next night saturday we decided to return with guests to have chicken dinners. Our watrriess was unsure of the childrens menu so she had to go and check with the kitchen.When she returned we added to the order one of your garlic breads at the same time as confirming the childrens meal. So they order was all together. Waitress was a little off so we thought maybe she was new. With some of things she was doing...drinks no straws ,left menus on the table after we ordered.No big deal we all start somewhere. Finally the bread comes out, and with in seconds our four meals are at the table as well. We didnt have a chance to have a piece a bread.The waitress does apologize for them coming at the same time. Which is fine not exactly what should happen. So we decide to eat our meals. While the waitress is still bringing the last of the meals I was asking my guest if there meals were COLD. She quicly took off. So not only was my meal cold , 2 other guest were cold. we contunied to eat any ways. By the time she came back we mentioned that the fries ,chicken and even the bun was cold.The BUTTER wouldnt even MELT on the bun. The waitress did offer to get us fresh fries.We did not take any fries we already half down. I ask watress to inform the manager the meals WERE COLD. I didnt want anything for this just for HIM to be aware.I work in customer service and know sometimes the right people dont always find out. So now after that, We dont see her again at our table for a LONG time. We sat infront of our plates for 10minutes when we were done. She walked by the table twice, empty handed..The restraunt was not busy compared to the night before.ONLY a few tables and she had us and a table of 2 infront of us. I am very dissappointed with the service and the food being so COLD.Yes maybe I should have sent it back but dont normally have a problem.Little concerned about having my meal come out after I sent it back.So we ate as much as we could. My guest went and paie the bill at the register and the manager was taking his money.So he asked if the manager was aware of the problem at our table.He first said he knew nothing about, then said the waitress did tell someone else.He claims we order the bread late.So they had to remake our chicken dinners. I M SORRY I COOK AT HOME there is no way he remade those dinners.So my guest said well they were cold, he said he not sure about that. REALLY that s how you handle a customer complaints. So he paid the bill and we all left not before getting by the window and our waitress pointing us out.Sadly to the waitress I had the night before.. Well we were at my house for desert which should have been at your restaurant. Discovered that the manager did discount our bill of 20.00. Where he came up with that amount of money to be discount makes no sense.Also manager never even to him he was giving a discount. Clearly our experience was very disappointing right from the moment we got our food to the LAST MINUTE I walked by the windows. The waitress that served me the night before even stood up and stared out the window while I got to my car Sadly I can go and have a fanastic service and meal , and the NEXT NIGHT return and have a HORRIBLE MEAL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. CUSTOMER SERVICE is everything in a business.No matter what business. Clearly your staff and MANAGER need re coaching to deal with problems in the restaurant business. thank you, from someone who has never done this before

It's Swiss Chalet, you know what to expect

This is a favourite spot for my parents, so family meals are often here. I can't complain, they come up to visit and then take me out and pay for my dinner, so I'll take what I can get. The food is always good, though I hate the mushy fries. My parent order the same thing every time, as does my brother, but I like to mix it up and try different menu items. You can't really go wrong, it's all chicken. The place is packed with early birds though, it's a favourite for the local oldies. Come after 7:30 and you wont have to line up for a seat.

Good standard Swiss Chalet

We live well north of Lindsay but visit occasionally. Swiss Chalet in Lindsay is usually dependable for standard SC food. The hamburger is superb and the chicken is great. The fries are very good. The food is plentiful and there are lots of choices. Service is fast with attentive waiters/waitresses. The decor is standard - nothing inspiring. Over a period of many years, we have been disappointed only once (overdone chicken) and that was some years ago. We will continue our patronage - the good food and fast service make up for any other shortfalls.

last nights dinner was great. kids devoured we devoured. Hot and just right. Delivery guy a little waning on the lack of extra tip (we did a buck) but sometimes you only have so much cash. Delivery is always quick.We do this monthly. Never eaten inside but sometimes drive in and get it but it's never good, you get the old chicken sitting around all afternoon. Go delivery. I couldn't imagine sitting in swiss chalet for my night out with or without kids!

Its a swiss chalet... the sauce of course is amazing as always...and theres not much more to say. The service is always prompt and attentive. Arrive early or late as opposed to regular meal hours, as Lindsay's retirement community (95% of Lindsay) lives at swiss chalet.
