Quick consistently tasty healthy salads

I love this place! Whenever I am near the market and I am in the mood for a quick lunch I go here. You pick your container of lettuce and then pile on whatever veggies/cheese/protein you like. (The deal is 3 veggies/1 cheese/1 protein). And add sunflower seeds or croutons and dressing of your choice. I love it cuz I can customize the salad to what I want and not a set combination. My usual is romaine w/broccoli, celery, carrot, avocado, feta, and chicken with oil and vinegar dressing. The veggies are always fresh and the people working there are always friendly. They also give a packet of melba toasts with each salad.

AMAZING ALL AROUND

The staff is great! never in a million years would the owner swear at you, I am sure the other guys was at another place. I go there for lunch every day and have watch the food prep on many occasion. The lettuce for your salad is hand sorted NO BROWN PIECES, the produce is fresh! THey have many new homemade dressings to choose from and if your not into new things they have the old classsic stand byes. Portions are very good and everything is made to order as you like it no picking off veggies you paid for but don't like.

The Salad Bowl is great, amazing food at a reasonable price. I have been going there for lunch everyday for 6 months since I started working near the market. When comparing their food to the rest of the market its a no brainer as to why I go, healthy food that tastes great. Their homemade soups are all amazing, I haven't tried one that I didnt like. If you are looking for a healthy substitute for the majority of the grease that comes from most of the restaurants at the market, The Salad Bowl is for you! Customer service is excellent, the owners are very nice people and they are one of the reasons I keep going back. HIGHLY recommended.

I ate here a few months ago, I think right after they opened. It was an interesting experience in which you choose a small or large container of lettuce and then bring it around to a person who will dress it with your choice of protein, veggies and dressing. I was a little disappointed when they pulled out the Kraft bottle of Caeser dressing for my wrap (the wrap being exact same as the salad, just in a wrap instead of a bowl). All in all this is a nice change from all the other greasy food served in the market although unfortunately their location doesn't allow for much seating of their own. The price is reasonable but not what I'd call a bargain. The service is very friendly and fast, and I think with a little more homemade dressings The Salad bowl could do quite well.
