No long winded review here just want to state the facts. Excellent food, service is great, atmosphere is good but not great considering its in a parking lot. But take note that the bathrooms just reek, I was there 2 yrs earlier and the one thing I remembered was how smelly the mens bathroom was, well it hasn't changed. Its such a turnoff because it only makes me wonder if management has no control or cares less about sanitary conditions then I wonder how the kitchen is maintained. Too bad cause otherwise its a great eating place.
Great for wings and beer. The wings are $.60 after 8pm and they have a nice variety of beer. The only problem with the Tartan is that the service is sloooooooooooooooooooooooooow.
Been going to the Tartan for a few years now. It's got the best pub food in the Orleans area, and with a great price attatched to it. Their chips are absolutely amazing, as stated by other reviewers. Their salsa burger, which is what I had, was delicious. The hamburger was well prepared and juicy, and the combination of cheese, salsa, and sour cream on it was surprisingly good, requiring nothing else but the jalapenos that came with it.
Beer was a good price, about average for the area, and the bartender, Matty (sp) was a pleasure to talk to.
The scotch pies that my grandfather had were described as "just like home-made". He thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the Scottish pub, particularly the large Scottish flag hanging across from the bar.
All in all, a great experience. Not much I'd change about it, except maybe some padding on those booths. Sitting on just the wood can put an ache in your back.
Their chips are the best, and went exceptionally well with the wings. As it is a pub, it can get a bit loud and crowded in the evenings, but otherwise, it makes for a great place for a pint and a bite.
Amazing selection for all you can eat brunch. From typical breakfast foods to pasta salads, smoked salmon, roast beef, vegetable lasagna, meatballs, rice.... there was always an abundance of bacon and sausage!

I like the Tartan as a local watering hole. The servers are always friendly and the food is OK. The only criticism I'd make is that their wings are way too soaking wet with sauce.
Having said that, it's the only place in the Innes-10th Line Road area I'd revisit again and again.
