    The footwear was ...

    The footwear was very high quality, but I did not enjoy the atmosphere in the store as the lady that worked there gave me an unpleasant feeling. She helped me get my size shoes, but she did not crack a smile the whole time I was there. I would go back for the shoes, but not for the unfriendly staff.

    Disappointing

    My fears about mail-ordering clothing were realized- the socks weren't good, and Smith's made no offer to do anything about it. I ordered Merino wool socks that were advertised as thin, comfortable and well-designed. I found that they were thick, abrasive on my skin, and poorly designed (they went halfway up my calf- silly if you ask me, my only guess is that the elderly like them like this). I asked Smith's to address my lack of satisfaction, and they're pleasant people, but they were unwilling to do anything. So, I would recommend caution- I wouldn't mail order anything from this business again. Might be ok if you actually go to the store and check the product for yourself before buying.
