Bad experience

Came at very busy time, clearly kitchen is not able to handle such a rush. Server took forever to come to table, understandable she was busy but should know how to multitask. We ordered a bottle of wine, she never brought it to us. A new server came to table asked for food order, we gave it to her. After 15 min. we had to flag down original server to get our bottle of wine. 5 min. later it came. 40 min. later we get our food. Quesidilla was burnt on bottom, I ordered a veggie ques. so mushroom was substituted for chicken. Mush was burnt as well. No one came to check on us until after we were pretty much done. I ate what was not burnt and left the rest, showed server. This meal was taken off. Does little to the fact it was over all below average experience.

Mad for Madhouse

I think over all a nice place to go eat, the atmosphere is relaxing and easy going. The service was excellent and the staff really could not be anymore friendlier and courtesy. Just a delight. I had the steak sandwich which was done to perfection. A real jem of a place.

The parking is REALLY bad. I usually go for lunch rush so its fairly busy. I always end up having to park on the street unless by some stroke of luck someone else is just leaving. A few times the service was terribly slow, which was awful as I only have an hour for my lunch break, but the last time they had the courtesy to tell us it would be a bit of a wait before we ordered and we were therefore able to find another restaurant with less of a wait so we wouldn't be late coming back to work. Most of the time I have gotten my food in a timely fashion, however. The food is usually really good, I don't think I've ever had a bad meal there and the prices are really fair. I would go again for sure. Just a piece of advise, if you're in a rush, let them know before hand and they're usually good about getting it out to you fast, or letting you know if they can't do it.

The Madhouse is a great place to go and hang out...

The Madhouse is a great place to go and hang out with friends! There is a good selection of beer, but very poor selection of wine. The environment is very casual and inviting. The atmosphere is extremely unique. They attempt to continue the trend of being unique on their menu, but perhaps overstep their abilities. Most of their food is sub-par, but since it is unusual, people don't really know what to expect and claim it is delicious. Nonetheless, if you have some good friends, a big appetite for beer and little for food, then Madhouse is a great place to hangout in thunder bay.

we came on a really busy night, and were impressed how quickly our food and drinks came, considering how crowded it was. The waitress was friendly and efficient. We love how many different beers there are on tap, as well as their interesting and well priced menu.

The food is ok..but the service is absolutely so...

The food is ok..but the service is absolutely so slow. I've been there on numerous occasions for lunch, usually after the lunch rush and have had to wait over an hour for even the lunch special. So decided to have a late lunch...after 2 when there was hardly a person in the place. Still had to wait forever for our food and almost got up and left because it took so long. Service has always been bad every time. Recommend to go only for drinks...unless you have all the time in the world to wait for a meal.

this place is one of my favorites to frequent. It has a great dynamic menu, great selection of drinks and the staff are all genuinely friendly. it's also nice that you can go there as you are...you can go dressed up or in a ball cap and t-shirt..it's got a sophisticated yet relaxed pub feel. I highly recommend to visit this place.

Been going to The Mad house for ages. Allways the first stop i make when im in town from the UK. Feliz, Stacy, and the staff allways make me very welcome. The selection of domestic and import beers is fantastic. The wine selection is awesome, and the spirits selection is out of this world, try the famous Irish Carbomb. The food is A+++, very very good, thanks to Ash and the rest of the kitchen. The atmosphere is really relaxed, while upbeat. If you want a fun livley time, you can have it while if you want a nice meal in a great atmosphere you can have it. I strongly recommend The Mad House to all that Visit and live in Thunder Bay.

One of the best hang outs in town. Food, service...

One of the best hang outs in town. Food, service and atmosphere all come together to give you a great experience each and every time. Make sure you try the Steak and Goat Cheese Salad...my fave...I'm addicted. You can meet people here on a busy night...one of the few places people seem to losen up and relax and socialize in this city. Plus they give you great service whether or not your in jeans and a t-shirt or a business person all dressed to the nines.

We always have a great time at The Madhouse. It's my favourite place in TBay by a long shot. The food is great. The steak and goat cheese salad is seriously yummy. Their fries are perfect and I love the quesadillas. Plus, they serve my favourite alcoholic beverage-Strongbow cider. The service is usually amazing, despite the fact that it is often packed on weekends. I always enjoy myself there, whether its for lunch, dinner, or an evening hanging out with friends. Check it out-you'll be glad you did!!

Although I only ordered munchies, everything was...

Although I only ordered munchies, everything was well prepared and they have the best Calamari in the city by far. Service was good, the only thing I can ask is that for those sitting in the back section get more attention. Other than that, great experience. I'm a customer for life.

I frequent this place. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, the food is excellent and very consistent, very pretty girls working there and the music os usually decent. This is a good place to run into musicians and artists in general.

I had a Chicken Casadia, the food was great quality, the atmosphere was exellent. I've been there many times and enjoy all aspects... But, the service can be poor at times.
