Some people work out because they feel like they should; they’re told exercise is good for them.

This is not the case for Eleni Scott.

“I don’t feel complete unless I work out,” says the bubbly, super-fit owner of Leslieville’s Dwell Gym. “Exercise makes me whole.”

Located in an enormous modernized factory space on Carlaw just north of Queen East, Dwell Gym is a reflection of Eleni: laidback and fun with a vast knowledge of all things health, fitness and living well—that includes the occasional bottle of wine or bubbly, shared with dinner and friends.

Eleni is on site every day training clients and maintaining her own physique between 11 am and 2 pm. Her routine is cardio daily and weights a few times a week. Nothing major—just enough to feel sublime.

“If I’m going on vacation, I take it up a notch,” she laughs.
