My wife and I went before the Eagles concert. The patio was busy and inside was about 3/4 full. I appears the waitresses are hired for looks and nothing more, at least in my case anyway. We had ordered drinks and our meal, on a time schedule. She came back to double check on the beer brand, sent out the wrong appetizer, and again came back to verify what my main was. Food came promptly, the ribs had no flavor other than the sauce, they were tender that was it. Fries are frozen not fresh cut. The music was loud and made it hard to enjoy the meal. The place was very clean. There are to many other choices for me to come back.
houston burger is so big and juicy. but didn't like bacon in it :( mediterrian bread: best bruchetta i've ever had! seafood pasta: lots of big chunks of shrimps, scallops, and lobstors. good good
I seriously go out of my way to come here for the nachos. They are so tasty and loaded with cheese, olives, jalapenos, and tomatoes. The salsa and sour cream are obviously on the side and the salsa has a little kick to it. I’ll keep coming back here as long as they offer this delicious item!!
Haven’t had such great pulled pork sandwiches since I was a kid. There used to be this place around the corner from my house and my brothers and I always went! This restaurant definitely offers a great sandwich.. the ciabatta bread is a nice touch and I usually get a side of french fries or onion rings. I had the burger one time I went also, and it was good. If the financial district isn’t enough to take you there, then go for the food! It’s amazing.
Two things stand out in my mind about this visit--the staff was great, the sort of mind-reader staff who appear with drinks before you realized you were nearly empty, and the room was *loud*. They need something to absorb all the sound in there. We were eating with the after-work corporate crowd and they know how to shout to one another. The meal was very good over all. My ribs were falling off the bone, delicious. The calamari was light and not over cooked the way a lot of places manage. The creme brulee was delicious. However, the key lime pie's serving--and yes, I saw it was a "don't bother sharing" kind of dessert according to the menu--was still a little small and quite frozen. Overall, delicious but a little pricey. My waitress--a girl with tattoos you could see in the V of the back of her dress--was brilliant and that may be what sends me back. She let my girlfriend and I have a nice long meal to play catch up, never rushed, was very prompt, brought new utensils and drinks without us asking. Generally, a great experience.
So great! The steak is outstanding!!! The service is also amazing - we've been here numerous times and it's always consistent. I've never tried the ribs but I probably will next time I'm in.
Awesome time here! the chicken sandwich was so much bigger than i thought it would be.. it was on a nice bun with a couple different dressings (nice difference to the typical mayo). I had great service and will be back for sure. We weren't too crazy on the decor but with good food and service you can't go wrong.
It turned out to be a great night out with friends.. The service and tidiness was great.. there were no spots on our glasses and the tables were clean. I also like that our server had a freshly pressed shirt on - I pay attention to those little things. We came in wearing club attire around 8:30 on a Friday night. I was DJing locally so we didn't want to go far for anything. We walked in knowing it had to be a quick meal, so we told them and they accommodated us well. We had an 8 oz. baseball cut each and a caesar main to share. I didn't have alcohol because of work, but she had a glass of red. I really liked the caesar... I'm a salad nut.. but paired with the juicy steak, everything tied together well. We were satisfied overall. I enjoyed the service and quality food the most as they did a great job with both.
Went for our anniversary dinner last week... my wife and I really enjoyed our time here. We both had the Filet Mignon tenderloin - they arrived after about 40 mins but we'd had a few drinks and appetizers and were in no hurry. Was it good? For such a quality piece of meat (not to mention price), it would have to be! Both of our dinners were cooked and flavoured to perfection.. my wife had the 6oz with garlic mashed potatoes while I had the 8oz with a baked potato. The appetizers were also quite nice - we had the bruschetta (served cold and fresh) and the shrimp cocktail (with delicious cocktail sauce!). The only problem we found with the apps was that there were a few too many fried options, but that's just our opinion. We were drinking a nice Pinot Noir with our dinner from Australia.. it was quite light and we were offered a taste before we had to purchase our glasses. Big thanks to Houston for a great 9 year anniversary dinner.
With the Christmas season and all, my wife and I went here on the evening of December 18th for a nice outing with my parents along with hers. What a phenomenal time we had - my parents are slightly older and our server was very patient and courteous with them when they were ordering, being served, etc. This is very nice to see nowadays.. My wife's parents also enjoyed the service. We started with some appetizers because we were so hungry.. the warm goat cheese is simply amazing. Goat cheese is definitely my all-time favourite of all the cheeses and this was amazing. Everyone also had their own entree, but I wasn't really interested in anyone's but my own - so that's about all I remember! I had the Baby Back Ribs - a full rack, of course. They were fall-off-the-bone delicious.. you could tell that they were cooked slowly and marinated properly. These chefs know what they're doing. I can't wait to go back to this restaurant.. luckily I don't live too far from downtown Toronto!
Nice place! My company went here for our staff Christmas party last year and I just remembered it.. looks like we'll be going back again this year. All of our food was pre-ordered so I didn't have much selection but from what I remember, it was enjoyable. Pretty good staff also. Our party went sort of late if I remember correctly... the night was a little fuzzy but I don't have any complaints.
Went for lunch the other day and had the Houston Burger...amazing BBQ sauce and I'd definitely do it again. Went with a colleague last week and the portion size was great. Seems like this restaurant knows what it's doing! It's must try for Torontonians and visitors.
Okay these ribs were way too generous for a financial district spot...I was very surprised. The service was quick and the decor was nice and not too obnoxious. This place seems to be pretty busy around lunch time (probably because of all the offices nearby) and I'm pretty sure it'll be around for a while..
I've never had such an amazing steak! It was cooked just how I wanted it, and I don't think it could've gotten any better. Very key location and beautiful decor. My server was amazing and I'd definitely go back. Everyone in my group seemed pleased with their meals also.
Excellent food and environment.
Happy to share my experience if management would like further feedback. Regards Azaan
