Skip This Sports Bar

Terri O's Sports Bar & Grill has obviously changed hands since the last favorable review was written. I have been there twice, the second time with my wife. We both ordered a sandwich--hers a grilled ham and cheese, and mine simply a grilled cheese. We just wanted to get a quick lunch between doctors' appointments. The Coke I ordered was flat; it was either watered down or not enough syrup was used in the soda machine. The menu featured a "soup of the day," but there was NO soup. The French fries that we ordered tasted like they had been fried in month-old oil, and the ketchup had obviously sat out too long without refrigeration, as it had a vinegar-like taste. The kicker was bill paying time; the new owners impose a $1.00 "service charge" for using a debit card. We've never seen another restaurant in Canada do such a thing. This is "sprung" on you at the time you pay the bill; no mention of it on the door or on the menu. The sandwiches were overly greasy and arrived at least five minutes apart. We ate the sanwiches, but couldn't stomach but a few of the fries. There are much better choices on Danforth Avenue--pack a lunch before you go to this place!

Simply the Best Chicken Wings, not only in Toronto, but the Best anywhere. Hands Down!!! Try them plain with the Hot sauce on the side and a squeeze of fresh lemon Yee Haaa enjoy!!! DFR
