Beatriz Romano, owner of Hair 2 Desire, knows exactly how to make her customers feel at home: offer them a cup of coffee and an ear. “My customers are like my family,” she says with a smile. “I say that my salon is your home-away-from-home and as soon as you come through the door, you can relax.”

It isn’t only a warm welcome that you’ll get at this unisex salon, a spot that fulfilled a lifelong dream of Beatriz’s when she opened it in 2002. It’s the skill and knowledge garnered over years of experience that Beatriz, or ‘Betty’ as she’s fondly known to her customers, carefully applies to each client. How can you not relax when you’re in the hands of such a pro?
