For most people, schlepping over to the laundromat is far from a pleasant experience. One Mile-End establishment has made this chore more bearable by combining a cozy café, garden and restaurant with a laundromat. At Blanc de Blanc,the cooking, just like the laundry, is done with ecologically responsible products.

Philippe Aveline has been the owner of Blanc de Blanc, along with his business partner Enzo Lovino, since the spring of 2014. For these former regulars, acquiring the business was an opportunity to continue its original mission while making improvements that maximized Blanc de Blanc's potential.

"I’ve always found this space to have an amazing potential!” says Philippe.“I talk edit over with Enzo, and we decided to buy the place. We wanted it to be like an extension of our customers' backyards, or the little piece of green space that city life doesn't always allow for,” Philippe explains with pride. "We want them to feel athome, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. With this laundromat, we want peopleto feel like they can occupy themselves while the sheets are tumbling. They can get some work done while enjoying a coffee, or simply have a bite while reading under the trees on the terrace.”
