Meet the owner

In 2012, Nicolas Hamel decided to offer Montrealers a different kind of boutique, geared towards a trend-savvy and knowledgeable clientele.

With Boutique Oxford’s shoes and magazines, Nicolas, who also owns Les Montures, offers a commercial concept that meshes his passion for culture and his love of fashion. At Boutique Oxford his clients can find a curated and unique selection of shoes and magazines specialized in arts, design, music and fashion, which are imported from the four corners of the world.

A long-time collaborator of Nicolas’, Benoît Bergnaud, is involved in the general management of the business. In fact, the two friends collaborate equally on both the Oxford and Les Montures projects.

“Nicolas’ objective was to position Boutique Oxford in a way to differentiate it from other boutiques on both the local and national markets,” Benoît explains. “He was very interested in the idea of concept stores. Be it with our shoes or on the magazine front, we strive to offer products you won’t find anywhere else.”
