Meet the owner

In the summer of 2008, in a former Rosemont tavern, somewhat run down and quaint, Marc Bélanger, brewer, and his partners  opened the Broue Pub Brouhaha. Their main mission is to be a point of sale, distributing beer from Quebec microbreweries.

“The concept was to keep the spirit of the old tavern, the brewery, which is actually an icon of Quebec culture. We wanted something fairly simple but very warm,” notes co-owner Daniel. Building on Quebecers' appetite for microbrews and vintage decor, the entrepreneurs were spot on, as now demonstrated by the vitality of the place, which is almost always crowded.

Tap into Montreal’s top microbrews

Tap into Montreal’s top microbrews

The two Brouhaha pubs serve excellent beer (and a sublime poutine). From their great selection of house beers, try a pepper beer, the Gaz de course (barley wine), the Fleur du diable (Belgian style pale ale), the Luxura (triple IPA) and the Papineau-Fleury (with pinot noir). There are also many other great microbrews from around Quebec for you to sample.
