Meet the owner

Christian Viel and John-Dominic Leduc love the world of comics. The two met while collaborating on web series such as Heroes of the North, featuring Canadian superheroes. Christian was the designer, producer and director, while Jean-Dominic was an actor. The two became friends, and while they continued to work on joint projects together and have a lot in common, it was their boundless passion for comics that led them to think about opening a bookshop dedicated to comics. "We thought, 'well, why not'? We have the expertise, we have the passion, and it's also very much in keeping with our respective skills," says Jean-Dominic.

The two entrepreneurs opened Librairie Z in June 2016. The business specializes in comics and distinguishes itself by offering bilingual merchandise as well as an events area that provides a stimulating hub where industry players and customers can interact. The owners' expertise results in unparalleled service provided in a space that's airy, clean, well-lit and showcases the products in an interactive way.

    Une magnifique librairie de bandes dessinées animée par une équipe dynamique, compétente et enjouée. Christian, Jean-Dominic et leurs collègues connaissent merveilleusement bien l’univers de la BD, sont très aimables et offrent de bons conseils. Je recommande très chaudement la librairie Z où je me fournis depuis plusieurs années maintenant.
