Nomad Station Cafe

Nomad Station-Media Café has been open since 2008, in the heart of Old Montreal’s bustling business district. According to owner Giovanni Farias, this is precisely why he decided to take over the café and put his own spin on it. “Location is key. I would say about 80% of our customers are from within a few blocks of our café.” Nomad Station is part of Nomad Media, which is an independent production company, based out of Montreal. They create their own videos, short films, and visual arts.

The café is part of a larger building at 407 McGill, which houses a variety of professional offices. “There are a lot of IT companies, as well as lawfirms and architect offices, so we see those guys come down here all the time. There are lots of familiar faces from within the building. There is an import/export office nearby and people come from there as well,” says Giovanni.
