When Café des Bois opened on the east end of Mont-Royal Avenue, Elizabeth Leblanc quickly became a regular customer. A trained dietician, she was soon brought on board as the café's manager and began helping the owner, Sylvain Valiquette, to craft healthy recipes for organic desserts and meals. The two got along so well that soon they were flirting with the idea of starting a business together.
At the time, Les Belles Soeurs, a neighbourhood restaurant launched by two sisters-in-law, was up for sale just blocks away. Elizabeth and Sylvain decided to make it theirs and continue the resto’s decade-old tradition of providing generous portions of comfort food in a friendly and colourful atmosphere.
Typique du Plateau, on y retrouve surtout les gens du voisinage et les habitués. Super relaxe comme ambiance. Bons plats bien préparés, et toujours servis avec un sourire!
After refreshing yourself at the Baldwin pool, enjoy a comforting meal at Les Belles Soeurs, two steps from the park. In its family atmosphere (hence the name), this small neighbourhood restaurant offers simple dishes like burgers, soups, salads and sandwiches. Besides, most of the dishes on the menu are made with family recipes. A meal here feels like you’ve found a second home!
The soups on the menu in this tiny restaurant will inevitably remind you of those prepared by your grandmother: carrot cream, tomato soup, mushroom soup and more!
