Celebrate Poutine Week 2017 in Montreal: Our top 25

The poutine at Paulo et Suzanne may not be a gourmet prize winner, but we love them so much that they simply had to be included. You’ll be able to enjoy their classic poutine pepper sauce with Angus ground beef, Philly steak, sliced cheese (we presume!), cheese curds, onion, fried mushrooms, southwest sauce and a tomato pico de gallo salsa.

If you’re in the north of the city, you really need to stop in at the highly inviting Paulo and Suzanne. Founded in 1980, this restaurant located opposite the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur will welcome you at any time of day or night. The menu offers combos (pitas, burgers, subs, etc.), poutines, full meals – but above all, the “Extreme Cures,” for those suffering from “hangovers, heartbreak and/or minor injuries”. These cures come in the form of a triple hamburger, an extreme grilled cheese and chicken sandwich with guacamole, or an extreme steak wrap with cajun spices and Monterey Jack cheese.
