Meet the owner

Born in Morocco, Hilmi Lahlou’s family moved to the United States when he was 15 years old. His father became a cook and introduced Hilmi to pizza. While he was studying, Hilmi worked in a restaurant, first as a server and then as the manager. One day he had an argument with his boss and Hilmi realized he wanted to run his own company. He knew he had all the right skills so now, at 30, he can proudly claim ownership for the last two years of L’Artizan Pizza. "For us it is very simple. If a person comes to try our pizza, we know that they will return with friends, and that is our advertising," says Hilmi.

The young entrepreneur loves the product he serves and says the pizza at L’Artizan is simply the best and all his customers come away satisfied because he makes sure there is something for everyone’s taste. With a cozy eatery that seats 26, Hilmi gets to know all of his customers, and is always happy to accommodate even the most demanding special request. "I love customer service and I adapt to anyone; I end up putting everyone at ease," he says. And his small, carefully selected staff follows suit.
