The Vancouver jazz scene is making more and more of a name for itself. With the International Jazz Festival in late June drawing some incredible acts, the city is becoming known for some of its cool venues. But don't wait till the festival to catch some class acts. Order some food and sit back with a glass of wine or a bourbon, and listen to some sultry jazz at one of these fantastic Vancouver venues.

Pourhouse Restaurant

It’s easy to eat, drink and be merry at this popular spot in Gastown. Housed in a century-old heritage building and furnished with Victorian-era antiques, the old-world style watering hole is equal parts refined and relaxed. Classic cocktails are paired with sophisticated comfort cuisine – think spaghetti and meatballs with fresh basil, baked oysters or grilled chicken with chimichurri. The bar hosts live jazz musicians every Sunday night, making it a great spot to end the weekend.

Tangent Cafe Vancouver
