Open Arms Preschool has felt like home for the past 2 and a half years. My daughter started going there when she was 18 months old and she's been cared for by loving and patient teachers. The facility is clean and organized, and did such a good job maintaining the safety protocol during COVID. The webcam and apps were great communication tools to receive updates and see what the kids are up to. I am so grateful to have found such a warm and caring environment for my daughter! Read more

So I have had my son in Zoe's now for about 5 months and both my husband and I are just so happy with them. My husband and I went searching for the day care that would work best for the 3 of us, and when we found Zoe's we signed up with them on the spot. The first thing we loved about them was they work with my husband's schedule which is amazing as my husband does not have a 9-5, Monday to Friday job. The second thing we loved about them was the home made food that the cook makes for the kids every day. You can smell the delicious food every time you walk in there and you can see the cook hard at work. Its nice knowing my son is getting a delicious home made hot lunch. Third thing we love about the school (and this we only got to see once my son started going there) is the staff. The love and affection my son gets from his teachers is amazing and it makes me happy as a mom to know my son is being taken care of. My son goes to few people willingly but when he see's his teachers he has no problem going into their arms. He has adjusted so well into this school that I know my son is in great hands. Another couple of things that we really like about the school is the webcam. Its nice knowing I can take a peek at what my son is up to at that moment. And lastly is the great director that Zoe's has on staff. The directors name is Stephanie...such a joy to see and talk to every time I walk in with my son. Always has a smile ready to great the parents and has not let us down when helping us out with my husbands schedule. I recommend this school to all my friends who have had kids and I will continue to recommend them as I could not have found a better day care! Read more

Four steps to finding childcare services in Woodbridge Vaughan ON

The confirmation is in: the stork will be flying overhead in a few months. Quick! It’s time to get looking for childcare services. That’s no joke; your return to work will come fast enough, and daycare waiting lists are long in Woodbridge Vaughan ON.
Step one: Listen
Word of mouth is always a good starting point. If you have friends who already have children in childcare services, ask them how they found their babysitter or daycare centre. Get several points of view so you can make a list of all the advantages and disadvantages of each kind of child care provider.

Step two: Browse the Internet and newspapers
A search on your provincial government’s family services website may turn up a list of regulated childcare services in Woodbridge Vaughan ON. You can also find information on their website about financial assistance for child care. Whether regulated or not, home daycares sometimes advertise in newspapers or on community websites providing information on available space.

Step three: Visit
See if it’s possible to visit the daycares or home child care facilities you’re considering. Ask lots of questions and gather information about their policies on the following things:
  • Staff training
  • Emergency care plans
  • Hygiene and cleanliness
  • Food and allergies
  • Hours of operation
  • Accessibility for children with special needs
  • Late pick-up policy
Step four: Register
Once you’ve made the rounds of the childcare services available in Woodbridge Vaughan ON, it’s time to pick the ones you like best and put your name on their waiting lists. Depending on the situation in your area, it may be a good idea to put your name on several lists. In the meantime, make the most of your pregnancy to get ready and be sure to enjoy every precious minute at home with your baby.
