Hey, so its your standard greasy spoon. Quick service with a open kitchen so you can see whats going on. I work about two blocks away so I eat there probably 2 times weekly on average. I have never been let down. 5.95 for a lunch special that is more than I can eat, although Im sure that some ppl would have little problem ingesting the mountain of food. If you have a party of six and want to eat during dinner house, make a reservation. There are lineups at dinner time with hungry duos and foursomes forming a line that snakes all the way to the cases of steaming ducks, chickens and succulent pigs where you can get fantastic BBQ takeout. I once took a couple of pounds of BBQ pork to a small birthday party, and it was all gone by the time my spouse parked the car. This restaurant provides excellent food at reasonable prices if you order the dinner for 4, or 6, or however many there are in your party. The menu is fixed, but flexible in the choice of appetizers. The meal begins with broth, and appetizers but ends up with so many different dishes that the table groans. The food is fresh and dellcious homestyle Cantonese cooking. The waiters are generally efficient and capable of handling the crowds on weekends. Lots of free parking.

After hearing it about from a coworker I decided to visit the Sizzler myself since I work on Woodbine. Although I passed the place a couple of times because I thought'd it be more "eye catching", it looked like any typical family/homey environment in a way. I ended up ordering breakfast to go.
The service itself was great because the people there were very friendly and polite. My kind of style! =]. And when I tasted the food, it was awesome! The food itself was very good. They gave great portions and it wasn't greasy at all which made it so great! Normally I dislike eating breakfast outside because of the amount of oil they used but this place served it really good. I'm happy. Oh, and the price was awesome for breakfast!

Jenna, our server, made the experience so enjoyable! We had a retirement dinner last night. We were provided with a wonderful description of the menu. A lot of laughs. Jenna has a level 3 Sommelier course, if you are interested in Wine. She’s Greek, so loves lamb! But watch out, she’s pretty witty having a Bachelor degree Psychology. It was nice to have such a personable server. We had a lovely room to chat with our group. The food was delicious. Our retiree was provided with a free dessert.

Been coming here for years. I dont know who wrote that last review but they must have a screw loose. What would you expect if you tried to get a table for 7 people on a saturday nite without a reservation when the place is lined up. We had a great time, the food was good and the service was adequate considering how busy the place was. The lineup indicated they are doing something right. Not too many restaurants are around as long as they have been.

Ordered the $98 Lobster Sashimi for 2 set menu. Good portion, lobster served 2 ways, follow with Salad Bar, Soup and 2 Steaks.
Service was great, no rushing you thru the courses, clears the table after each course. must be patient, waited 10-15mins for the sashimi, but you can head on to the salad bar to start up with some fruits and lettuce. Good variety of Vegs @ the salad bar.
Finished off with their version of a funnel cake, topped off w ice cream.

OVERALL: Just listen to Frank Sinatra - Almost Like Being In Love. And you'll be humming it after you leave Canyon Creek. Or at least i was.
FOOD: The only reason it's not the Best meal ever is because yes on occasion you may get a poor cut of meat or flavorless fish. And I have been to dinner and lunch here for a few years now. But the Service keeps this review very high.
SERVICE: If you have a problem with your meal they will go above and beyond to satisfy you, don't be shy, speak up and let them know because they genuinely encourage it. If you are rude to them they'll be respectful to you and politely ask you to leave. If you are nice to them they'll become your best friend. And if you treat them like you do your best friends, they'll become family. I once had a sore throat the entire day and without me asking, the waiter actually brought me a spoon and some warm honey to coat my throat. Oh my goodness. Now that is service.
ATMOSPHERE: Beautiful fireplace, amazing ceiling, perfect lighting, great music, very clean, very comfortable yet elegant. Take a date she or he will love it.
PRICE: Truly a place that stays true to the saying, you get what you pay for. Expensive but worth it.

We did read a lot of reviews about the David Duncan House and were a bit skeptical about dining here last week, We had some friends in from out of town and decided to come here for dinner,We did however drop by one afternoon and looked around and picked up a menu, We had a reservation for 6.30 pm, got seated in the lower level,nice round table in the corner, The servers were yes a bit old school but very kind and did answer all our questions.Ordered some cocktails and got some galic bread,pickles and cottage cheese, We started of with a caeser for 4 that was prepared table side, All I can say is that is was to die for,Crispy romaine rich thick salad dressing made from the scratch. Main dishes were Rack of lamb,Filet mignon,Dover sole,and Prime Rib,We also had a bottle of red shiraz that the server recommended for 39.95 that was a great complimant to our meals,I myself had the Dover sole and my wife the filet, All of our meals were very good, The vegetables were ok a bit bland,the baked and mashed potatos were good, The servers were around when needed and did look after us through our evening, We did not have any dessert just some coffee and tea, Our friends have beev raving about this place to all there friends and made it a point to tell us when ever they visit us we will be going to the David Duncan House , In my opinion the reataurant was great, Not over priced a good meal and experienced servers, It is a dining room from the past era that has been around for a long time so I guess they are donig something right, My wife and I will be visiting again soon as we enjoyed our eveing with our friends,
